The mod will modernize the visuals a bit and the controls but is mostly the same game as the original iirc. Make sure when you launch Quake you select the first option, GL Quake is a different executable and it won't work. Now you can launch Darkplaces from Steam and the music will play like it should. Rename the Darkplaces executable to WinQuake.exe. Go to your Quake directory and delete WinQuake.exe. For the first mission pack they go into hipnotic\music and for the second they go into rogue\music. For the original game, they go into Quake\Id1\music. ![]() Unzip the campaign sountrack zip file and extract the files into the proper folder. Downloading and placing the music files. Just copy all of the files and folders into your main Quake directory.
